A ring size chart is a tool used to measure correct ring size prior to purchasing a ring. Ring sizers are most commonly made out of plastic or paper with stamped-out or cut-out circles that correlated with traditional ring sizes. Using a ring sizer is considered to be much more accurate than using a string of paper or a thread seeing as these materials can often give inaccurate measurements.

How to Determine Your Ring Size Using a Ring Size Chart

The easiest way to use a ring sizer is to place one of your own rings on the circles of the chart or to fit a finger directly into one of the circles. Make sure you're measuring your finger when it’s at a normal body temperature. A good idea would be to use a ring size chart at the end of the day and when your fingers are warm - fingers tend to be smaller in the morning and when cold. If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose the larger size. If your knuckle is significantly bigger than the base of your finger, measure both of them and choose a size in between the two. Remember - most rings are easily downsized and not the other way around.
