Teacher´s Notes:

1. Ask the students whether they know what “The Bucket List” means (it might help to explain the expression “to kick the

bucket” Tell them that according to a recent survey 95% of the people when asked if they wanted to know the date of

their death say they wouldn´t. Ask them if they agree with the majority of people and encourage a brief discussion about it.

2. Tell the students they are going to watch a scene (Chapter 7) from the movie “The Bucket List” about two very sick men

who decide to do all the amazing things they´ve pictured themselves doing before they die.

3. Give each student a copy of the “Bucket List” and tell them they have 15 minutes to complete the list with the things they

themselves would like to do before they die.

4. Collect the list from the students when time is up. Ask one of the students to read them out loud, while the others try to

guess whose list it is.

5. To conclude the activity, the students should work together to pick the best ideas from each list to make an overall

“Bucket List” for the whole class.

6. As a follow-up activity, the students can watch the video clip and listen to the song “Say” to complete the gaps.
