Evaluation of outcome(s):
1. The outcome was partially met the patient maintained a systolic BP between 80-120 and a pulse less than 110 during most of the
shift. However, during the patient’s sedation vacation he had a spike in systolic BP above 200 and pulse above 110.
2. The outcome was partially met because the patient did not experience the side effects of decreased urinary output b/c output was
above 32 ml/hr whole shift. The patient experience arrhythmias, hypertension, metabolic acidosis, and fever during the shift as shown
by temp, ABG, and arrhythmias/hypertension experienced during sedation vacation.
3. The outcome was not met. The patient did not tolerate sedation vacation with spike in systolic BP above 200, pulse above 110, and
arrhythmias on ECG. Previous sedation level resumed.
