Step 2: List all courses completed with a letter grade for your major. Indicate the Letter
Grade, Number Grade (numerical equivalent--see below), and Credit Hours. If you repeated the
same course, use the highest grade.
Step 3: Multiply the Number Grade by the Credit Hours to obtain Quality Points.
Step 4: Compute the total Credit Hours and total Quality Points. Then divide the total Quality
Points by the total Credit Hours. Example: 104.16 Q pts divided by 40 credits = 2.60 g.p.a.
Step 5: Your major department chair must approve your course selections for the major.
