State Tax Commission Application for Admission into the Michigan Advanced
Assessing Officer (MAAO) Program
This form is issued under the authority of the General Property Tax Act, PA 206 of 1893, Section 211.10d. Filing is mandatory.
Instructions: This form must be completed in its entirety. Applications must be received on or before March 1 for the program which
begins in May, or on or before August 1 for the program which begins in October. All completed applications received will be reviewed by
State Tax Commission Staff and a Committee of the State Tax Commission. Incomplete applications will be returned. Applicants will be
informed of their admission or denial into the MAAO program by letter.
