Management,   N ational   A ssociation   o f   R ocketry,   T ripoli   R ocketry   A ssociation,   a ll   o ther   a pproved   o nsite  

vendors,   o fficers,   m embers,   a nd   v olunteers   ( collectively   “ ROC”).   T his   a greement   r emains   i n   e ffect   f rom  

the   d ay   o f   s ignature   f or   o ne   f ull   y ear.  

 

Rocketry   i s   a n   i nherently   d angerous   a ctivity.     R ules   a nd   p rocedures   h ave   b een   c reated   t o   h elp   m ake  

this   a ctivity   a s   s afe   a s   p ossible.     E veryone   a ttending   R OC   e vents   i s   p articipating   a t   t heir   o wn   r isk   a nd   i s  

responsible   f or   f ollowing   t he   r ules   a nd   r egulations   o f   R ocketry   O rganization   o f   C alifornia   ,   N ational  

Association   o f   R ocketry   ( NAR),   a nd   T ripoli   R ocketry   A ssociation   ( TRA).  

 

I   a cknowledge   t hat   a s   a   V endor,   I   m ust   n ot   o perate   w ithin   t he   a ctive   p ortions   o f   t he   r ange   a nd   m ust  

confine   b usiness   a ctivities   t o   t he   p arking,   c amping,   a nd   s pectating   a reas   ( excluding   s afety   l anes   a nd  

zones).   R OC   w ill   a ccept   r equests   f or   f ront   r ow   p arking   i f   r eceived   o ne   w eek   p rior   t o   t he   s cheduled  

activity,   h owever,   R OC   c annot   g uarantee   v endor   p lacement   w ithin   t he   l aunch   s ite.  

 

In   c onsideration   o f   b eing   p ermitted   t o   c onduct   b usiness   a t   R OC   l aunches,   t he   V endor   u nderstands,   a nd  

does   h ereby   f reely,   v oluntarily,   a nd   w ithout   d uress   e xecute   t his   R elease   a nd   W aiver   u nder   t he   f ollowing  

terms:  

 

1. Agree   t o   i ndemnify   a nd   h old   h armless   R OC   f rom   a ll   c laims,   d emands,   l iabilities,   d amages,   c osts  

and   e xpenses   t hat   t he   V endor   m ay   n ow   o r   h ereafter   h ave   a gainst   t hem   r esulting   f rom   m y  

participation   i n   R OC   a ctivities.     T his   r elease   a pplies   n ot   o nly   t o   t he   V endor   b ut   a lso   t o   m y  

employees,   h eirs   a nd   a ssigns.  

2. Assume   a ll   o f   t he   r isks,   i ncluding   p roperty   d amage,   i njury,   i llness   o r   e ven   d eath   a nd   a gree   t o  

follow   t he   s afety   c ode,   r ules,   a nd   r egulations   o f   R OC,   N AR,   a nd   T RA.     V endor   r ecognizes   a nd  

understands   t hat   p articipation   i n   r ocketry   i nvolves   i nherently   d angerous   a ctivities.  

3. Understand   t hat   R OC   c annot   b e   h eld   r esponsible   f or   t he   f ailure   o f   o ther   p articipants   t o   a bide   b y  

the   s afety   c ode   a nd   r ules   a nd   r egulations   o f   R OC,   N AR,   o r   T RA.  

4. Certify   t hat   t he   V endor   h as   t he   n ecessary   c ertification,   e xperience,   a nd   t raining   i f   o perating   h igh-­‐

power   r ockets.  

5. Certify   t hat   t he   V endor   h as   t he   n ecessary   F ederal,   S tate,   a nd   C ounty   p ermits   a nd   l icenses   t o  

conduct   b usiness   a t   L ucerne   D ry   L ake,   S an   B ernardino   C ounty,   C alifornia   ( on   F ederally   m anaged  

lands).  

6. Expressly   a gree   t hat   t his   r elease,   w aiver,   a nd   i ndemnity   a greement   i s   i ntended   t o   b e   a s   b road   a nd  

inclusive   a s   p ermitted   b y   t he   l aws   o f   t he   s tate   o f   C alifornia   a nd   t hat   i f   a ny   p ortion   t hereof   i s   h eld  

invalid,   i t   i s   a greed   t hat   t he   b alance   s hall,   n otwithstanding,   c ontinue   i n   f ull   l egal   f orce   a nd   e ffect.
