Westminster College is an active and thriving campus with numerous extracurricular activities for its students to

participate in. These events may include trips that take you away from the city of Fulton and require travel, programs on

and off campus which may challenge and engage you physically and socially, or other activities that are purely

entertaining. While we encourage you to experience as many of these opportunities as possible, we also ask that you be

mindful of the risks you may be taking by participating or attending such events. While the College does not knowingly

provide opportunities which may pose undue risks to any participants, there may be specific activities that could pose risks

that are beyond the control of the College, its agents or employees.

Insurance Coverage

I have sufficient health, accident, disability and hospitalization insurance to cover me during my activities; I

further understand that I am responsible for the costs of such insurance and for the expenses not covered by this insurance,

and I recognize that Westminster College does not have an obligation to provide me with such insurance. If I do not have

insurance, I aknowledge that all costs resulting from injury will be borne by me and not the College.

I assume full responsibility for any undisclosed physical or emotional problems that might impair my ability to

complete the experience, and I release Westminster College from any liability for injury to myself or damage to or loss of

my possessions.

I understand that if I use my personal vehicle for any portion of a trip, activity or event, Westminster College has

no liability for personal injury or property damage that may result from that use. I agree to rely solely on my personal

vehicle insurance coverage.

Further, I understand that Westminster College assumes no liability for personal injury, which I may suffer in the

course of my participation in such events.

Personal Conduct

I understand that the responsibilities and circumstances of any student activity event may require a standard of

professional decorum. Therefore, I indicate my willingness to understand and conform to core values of Westminster

College and to conduct myself with integrity, fairness, respect, and responsibility. I further understand that it is important

to remember that I represent Westminster College at all times during a College-sponsored activity, and will not compromise

Westminster College in the eyes of those I may interact with during any trip, event or activity. I agree that should any

College official, trip chaperone, or other professional participating in the event deem my conduct inappropriate, I will

immediately cease my involvement with the said activity and potentially be disallowed to take part in further College-
