Spouse of Japanese without the Certificate of Eligibility

(For THAI Nationals)

(1) A valid Passport (with more than 2 blank pages. Please present your old

passports as well, if any)

(2) A completely filled Visa Application form. This form is available at Japan Visa

Application Centre (JVAC), or can bedownloaded from the Embassy’s website.

(3) One photograph taken within the last 6 months. (The photograph should be

of size 2 x 2 inches, either black and whiteor color, with plain background)

(4) A completely filled Questionnaire. This is available at Japan Visa Application

Centre (JVAC), or can be downloadedfrom the Embassy’s website.

(5) Resident Registration (One Original and Copy)

(6) Reason going to Japan without certificate of eligibility wrote by spouse

(7) Marriage Certificate (One Original and Copy)

(8) Japanese family registration indicating the applicant name (One Original)

(9) History of Marriage in Japanese by your spouse (indicating first meeting

location, the introducing person, type of relation, time and location of wedding

ceremony and other as thoroughly as you can)

(10) One photocopy of Spouse’s passport ( all pages )

(11) One set of the following certificates dated less than 3 months prior to the

application

a) Certificate of employment from your employer

( including position, monthly salary, the date of joining the company.)

and Official announcement to return to Japan . (One Original and Copy)

b) Certificate of commercial registration of your own business.

(One Original and Copy)

c) Certificate of employment of applicant. (One Original and Copy)

※If both spouse and applicant are retired, please bring explanation letter.

a) (12) If you have changed your name-surname and this is your first

journey to Japan or the name was changed after your previous journey to

Japan, please bring Certificate of name chang (One Original and Copy)
