Science Fair Research Paper Checklist

Below you will see the checklist to guide you with the content portion of your research paper.

These points will be applied as a 20 point test grade for 2nd Quarter.

For information to help you with your research paper, refer to Science Buddies. You can find

the link on Teacherweb and Google Classroom.

Length of paper: There is no set length for this paper. Generally, it will be 2-3 pages typed,

NOT including any diagrams or pictures. It is unlikely that a topic can be thoroughly discussed

with a paper shorter than 2 pages.

Formatting: Follow the MLA formatting guidelines.

The due date for the research paper is N ovember 7th . There will be 2 in-class work days for

the research paper - Monday, October 24th and Monday October 31st. Any other work will be

completed outside of class.

The completed paper will include: T itle Page, Research Paper, and Works Cited page . The

title page will be a separate page, followed by the research paper portion of your final report,

which will begin directly beneath your Question. The Works Cited page will start on a separate

page AFTER your research paper. For a mock up of this format, see Classroom for “Mrs.

This assignment will be turned in digitally through Classroom. Attach the paper you have

already started to Classroom Science Fair Assignment #3 and submit when completed.
