A Night For Your Marriage
Date 15—Couples Bucket List
Guidelines for your date:
1. In the interest of Philippians 4:8, please focus on the positive things in your marriage. This is not
the time to bring up everything that may need fixing.
2. Keep your focus on your marriage—don’t talk about your kids, your job, your in-laws, etc.
3. Dates or “talking about your relationship” may not be your thing, but “move out in love” and
participate willingly.
4. Don’t force it. If you have difficulty on a particular date or get on a negative track, stop that
discussion and move on to another topic that you both feel good about.
5. Use good communication skills.
a.
Be honest, yet never unkind
b. Remember to start your sentences with “I” and let them reflect back on you.
c.
Resist attacking the other or defending yourself
d. Be specific and positive.
If money was not an issue, what would you put on your bucket list for the following?
 A big trip
 A big purchase
 A big blessing toward someone else
