How To Write An Attention Grabbing Cover Letter Page 2

Section 3 - conclusion:
I hope that, on consideration of my CV, you will be persuaded of my potential to perform well and to make a real
contribution as a member of your company. Please do not hesitate to call me on {insert telephone number} to discuss
this further.
I look forward to hearing from you.
{Yours faithfully OR Yours sincerely},
Note: If you started your email with Dear Sir/Madam finish with Yours faithfully. If you started
with Dear company contact name then sign off your email with Yours sincerely.
Your full name
Telephone number
Email address
LinkedIn profile link
Note: Don’t forget to attach a MS Word or PDF copy of your CV to the email before sending.
Your cover letter is not just a repeat of your CV, it should summarise in a clear and concise way why you
are a perfect fit for the role. It is vitally important that you tailor your cover letter to the position.
Keep your cover letter to one side of A4. Write your letter in MS Word first as this will help you keep it
short and will also help with spelling and grammar checks. When it is finished you can paste the content
into an email.
Keep the format consistent. If you use the same font and text size on your covering letter and CV it will
look neat and professional.
