Give and Get Volunteer Program
Volunteer Position: Silent Auction
Job Summary: Provide friendly customer service to those who wish to make a bid on the items displayed for
the Silent Auction. This volunteer will be responsible for helping setup, take down, and monitoring the area
throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the items being auctioned
Help describe items to patrons
Assist in filling out bid sheets for patrons if needed
Assign numbers to patrons who would like to bid on items
Determine the winner by looking at the silent auction bid sheets
Collect money from the patrons who won the items and handle cash with accuracy
Keep area clean, well-organized, and free from safety hazards
Arrive for shift on time wearing provided volunteer shirt
Any other duties as requested
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Basic math skills
Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Lift 50 pounds unassisted
Stand for long periods of time
Bending, stretching and kneeling throughout shift
This event is held at an outside location. There will be a tent provided by weather conditions can range
between rain, wind, and extreme heat.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer position. Your hours worked will be donated through the Give & Gift Program. You will
receive one 2-day volunteer ticket for the Night in the Country Music Festival, food and drinks during your
shift, and a free shirt.
**Failure to show up for your shift will result in deactivation of your ticket. This means you will not be allowed back into the festival
area to enjoy the show. You will also not be invited back the following year. **
