These doses are given every 4-6 hours, as needed, for fever or pain. Do not give more than 4 doses per
day.
It is best to use weight, rather than age, to determine the correct dose.
If you use a dropper, use only the dropper provided with the medicine.
*If your child is less than 3 months old and has a fever (temperature of 100.4 °F or higher), you must call the
doctor immediately before giving any medication.
Acetaminophen only treats fever and pain. It has no effect on cough, congestion or runny nose. It doesn’t
make colds go away faster. It only helps make your child feel more comfortable.
Do not give more than the doses on this sheet. Giving too much can cause serious harm!
