Fremont Community Theatre Scholarship Application and Requirements

for the 2017-2018 Academic Year

FCT will be awarding from one to three scholarships this year, depending on the number

of applications received, and valued at up to $1000. To be eligible for the FCT

college scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

1. Student must be accepted into an accredited post-secondary program for the

2017-2018 school year.

2. Student must be an active member in good standing of Fremont Community Teen

Theatre.

3. Student must not have received the Fremont Community Theatre Scholarship in

a previous school year.

4. Student must complete the Fremont Community Theatre Application for College

Scholarship.

5. Student must enclose a transcript from the last four years of education.

6. Student must enclose a theatrical resume, including the following information for

each show: role or tech position held, show name, and theatre name and

address.

7. Student must provide two sealed letters of recommendation: one from a teacher,

drama director, or other person in the education field, and one from a non-family

person directly involved in Fremont Community Theatre who is familiar with your

involvement.

8. Student must submit a paper answering the following and limiting the response

for all three questions to one typewritten page:

a. What are your future goals for involving theatre, including community

theatre, in your life?

b. How will your education enable you to reach these goals?

c. If your major is not theatre-related, how will you use your major to benefit

community theatre?
