Housekeeping
Position Description
Purpose:
To assist the Maintenance Department in maintaining the facilities.
Position Focus:
Support the Maintenance Department in coordinating the cleaning and the upkeep of the building.
Position Status:
Full-Time -- Hourly
Supervisory Relationship:
Reports to the Maintenance Coordinator
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain floors: mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, etc.
Clean bathrooms: fixtures, floors, mirrors, walls and maintaining paper products etc.
General cleaning: emptying trash, dusting, wiping off table tops, chairs, window sills, etc.
Clean windows.
Keep maintenance closets and work areas clean, orderly and stocked.
Make coffee and keep coffee areas clean and well stocked.
Run dish washer in kitchen and occasional cleaning of refrigerators, etc.
Other tasks as assigned.
Personal Qualifications:
Must be energetic and takes pride in keeping the Church clean.
Physically capable of carrying out the required duties, while bending, lifting and climbing ladders.
Personal integrity and dependability.
Able to get along/work/communicate with attendees, other Church staff and fellow custodians.
