4Bahraini/GCC Diplomatic and Special Passports
These requirements apply ONLY to holders of Diplomatic or Special Passports. See above for specific details of each requirement.
1.) Completed application.
2.) One recent passport photo.
3.) Verbal Note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
4.) Current passport and a photocopy of the passport.
5.) Photocopies of previous Schengen Visas.
6.) Flight Bookings or E-Tickets.
7.) Hotel Bookings or other Accommodations.
In the case of groups:
Please complete all requirements for each individual application. Each group member will be looked at as an individual applicant and
must have all necessary supporting documentation. Failure to provide all required documents will result in the application being
rejected.

ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE
This list of requirements is by no means comprehensive. Unforeseen circumstances and requirements
may come up during your applications process. The Embassy of the Republic of Italy, Manama reserve
the right to ask for additional documentation at any time for any reason. Failure to provide any
additional required documents will result in your visa application being rejected by the Emabssy of The
Republic of Italy, Manama, Bahrain.
When providing copies of Passports and other IDs, they must be submitted for each item they are requested for. (I.E. For the
Application, and for the Letter of Financial Support.)
The only original copy of a document we retain is your letter of employment or enrolment. When requested, all other originals are for
verification purposes only. We do not retain originals of Bank Statements or Insurance policies. Please provide photo copies of these
documents or avail of our Photocopy service once you are at our office.
Once your application is submitted to the Embassy, you will not be able to take back your passport until the process is complete. Do
not apply unless you are able to give sufficient time for the application process to be completed.
All persons aged 12 and above must have their fingerprints taken. Children under 12 do not need to accompany parents to the
application centre. No applications will be accepted for any person or persons not present during submission of documents.
To facilitate speedy processing of your application, please come to our office with your completed application and supporting
documents neatly organized for review.
*Please Note: In the event of an incomplete application and supporting documents, the
applicant has up to 48 hours to comply. Failure to do so, will result in a cancellation of the
application and he will have to book a new appointment and reapply.
*All fees are not refundable.
