Recovery Court Candidate Packet and Information

Thank you for your interest in the Jasper County Recovery Court Program (JCRCP). The

JCRCP is a post-plea program under the supervision of a Circuit Court Judge. Although it is a

post-plea program, one of the greatest benefits of the program (other than sobriety) is that the

state will dismiss the case upon successful completion.

Participant Manual which describes the requirements of the program. If you do not have a

defendants must enter Recovery Court within six months of the initial arraignment in associate

court. Once the prosecutor’s office has approved your client to proceed, he/she must complete

the assessment within 30 days and enter a plea by the assigned date.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Potential candidates may be identified by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, defense attorneys,

Probation and Parole officers, Court Administrator, or the Court Services Officer. Once

identified, candidates will have 30 days to complete the assessment. To begin the screening

process, simply turn in an application to the Court Services Officer. Once the application is

received, it will be forwarded to the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to confirm

eligibility. Once confirmed, candidates must meet with the Court Services Officer to begin the

assessment. A final recommendation will be sent to the Court for a final determination of

eligibility.
