communications and marketing consulting to educational institutions around the world. With
offices in Chicago, St. Louis, Vermont, Virginia and western New York, we develop web
solutions that help colleges and universities to reach their constituencies that include
prospective students and their influencers, current students and their families, alumni, faculty
and staff, and donors. We arm our clients with the best marketing and communications
strategies in higher education.
Based on those strategies, we typically design and build public-facing websites, intranets and
portals. Often, we configure and customize a content management system (CMS) to meet our
client’s needs. We are somewhat neutral when it comes to CMS—we most commonly work
with Drupal, Hannon Hill Cascade Server, Sitecore, TERMINALFOUR Site Manager, and
OmniUpdate OU Campus.
We also integrate other third-party tools such as calendar systems and social networking
solutions. Where appropriate, we will build and integrate custom applications into client
websites.
Located in St. Louis and reporting to the firm’s chief operating officer, the Senior Web
Developer is a full-time position that participates in all phases of the project lifecycle and
consistently delivers business value to our clients. The Senior Web Developer advances best
practices, and helps set direction for the technical aspects of our practice, specifically web and
Drupal development. The ideal candidate has a passion for the web and higher education and
is a champion for Drupal.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborates effectively with creative team and web designers during the creative
process.
Provides technical leadership and assumes overall accountability for a successful
implementation phase on all client projects. Oversees employee, freelance web
developers and partner web developers, ensures technical solutions are properly
architected and specified, and reviews all code for quality assurance purposes.
In partnership with technical leads, helps set direction for our technology practice.
Leads and advances our growing Drupal practice.
Responsible for various aspects of ongoing support and maintenance engagements.
Partners with project managers and other web developers to successfully manage
these client relationships.
Client Management Responsibilities:
Understands each client’s organizational goals and objectives.
Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
