The Bakersfield Association of REALTORS
is proud to offer REALTOR
Service Volunteer Program (RSVP). The
®
®
Association believes in serving as a vital part of the community. RSVP is a new community outreach program, which
seeks to promote and support home safety for senior homeowners who are physically challenged and/or lack the
financial resources to complete certain household tasks.
SCOPE OF WORK
RSVP volunteers work on projects, which are narrow in scope. Check the tasks the senior is requesting:
q light yardwork
q light hauling
q test smoke & CO detectors
q clear walkways
q replace lightbulbs
q interior maintenance
q exterior maintenance
q change furnace filter
q light housekeeping

NOTE: We will do our best to accommodate your requests; however, we may not be able to accommodate requests beyond our
scope.
The senior’s requests will be reviewed by the committee. If approved, homeowners will be contacted by an RSVP
member prior to any service work. The homeowner must be home on the specified date and time the work is
scheduled. They will also need to sign a work release.
