Please complete the form below to submit your request to defer your application to Seton Hall University.
If you are deferring your offer of admission, you will receive an updated acceptance packet prior to the
start of the semester of deferment. If you are deferring your application prior to a decision being made,
please remember to submit all materials needed to make your application complete. Students may defer
an application or an offer of admission for up to one academic year only.

SETON HALL UNIVERSITY DEFERMENT POLICIES:
 Students may defer an application or an admission decision and scholarship up to one academic year
from the original semester. Students wishing to apply/enroll beyond one academic year from the
original semester must reapply and previous offers of admission and scholarships are not guaranteed.
 All scholarship offers for the original term of entry will be deferred along with the student’s offer of
admission.
 Students deferring an offer of admission to the University may not attend any other institutions in the
interim between the semester the admission is offered and the semester the student enrolls at Seton
Hall. If the student attends another institution during the deferment period, he or she forfeits any
current admission and scholarship offers and must submit a new transfer application. His/her
application will be reevaluated for admission when updated transcripts are received.
 The University has the right to revoke an offer of admission and/or scholarship if the student has
academic or disciplinary issues during the deferment period.
