Following is a list of all items and information that must be included on or with the site
plan. Failure to provide all required information may result in the review of this project
being delayed. Please check the appropriate space for each item to ensure that all items
are on the site plan.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION - Attach or provide on the site plan, the legal description of the
subject parcel of land.

TWELVE COPIES OF PLAN - A minimum of twelve (12) copies of the site plan must be
submitted with the application for site plan review.

SCALE - The plan shall be drawn to a scale of not greater than one inch equals 20 feet for a
development of not more than three acres and a scale of not less than one
inch equals 100 feet for a development in excess of three acres.

LEGEND - The plan shall show an appropriate descriptive legend, north arrow, scale, date of
preparation, and name and address of the individual or firm preparing the
same.

GENERAL LOCATION - The property shall be identified by a general location map showing
the general vicinity of the proposed project.

"PROPERTY LINES - The property shall be identified by lot lines together with dimensions,
angles, and size correlated with the legal description of the property.

TOPOGRAPHY - The topography of the site shall be represented with at least two foot
contour intervals.

NATURAL FEATURES - All natural features such as wood lots, streams, rivers, lakes,
wetlands, unstable soils, and similar features shall be represented on the site
plan.

MAN MADE FEATURES - Existing man made features upon the site and within 100 feet of
the same shall be disclosed.
PLEASE NOTE: This site plan will be reviewed by the Department of Public Services to determine
whether a comprehensive storm water retention analysis is necessary. If the study is necessary you
will be required to pay an additional fee for a thorough technical review by the municipal contract
engineer. Details of this provision are found in the Big Rapids Storm Water Control Ordinance.
