The Ohio DNR Division of Forestry is collecting information from primary wood-using industries to create a

summary report of the variety and volume of wood products produced in Ohio. The report will include summary

information on products, species, outputs per region, and utilization of mill residues. The data we collect will be

shared with the US Forest Service who is our partner in creating this report. Data regarding your individual

business will not be analyzed or made known on an individual basis. Please complete the enclosed survey form

This report will aid forest managers, forest industry, policymakers, and others, who evaluate trends in forest

product removals, to make informed decisions about available forest resources and product output. This kind of

information can be very helpful in educating the public about forest management and timber harvesting. Also

those seeking specific products or product information will be able to use the report to narrow their search.

We are using a national mill canvass survey form in order to compare Ohio’s product output to other states.
