Constellations and the Seasons
Different constellations occupy the night sky in different ___Seasons____. This is
because the Earth’s night sky faces different parts of the sky as it ___Revolves_____ around
the sun. A
__Star
Chart__ shows the positions of constellation in different seasons. There is a
different chart for each
___Season or
Hemisphere_. We would need to use the _Northern__
Hemisphere because that’s where we live.
If you are facing North, __East__ is to your right,
and __West____ is to your left. When reading a Star Chart, you should hold it out in front of
you so that the direction you are facing is at the __bottom__ of the chart.
