APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Instructions for SALESPERSONS and ASSOCIATE
BROKERS:
Complete Part A on reverse side.
2.
Have the qualifying broker under whom you wish to be licensed to
complete Part B on reverse side.
Attach a $25.00 check make payable to the Alabama Real Estate commission
3.
to transfer your license to active status.
4.
Attach a $30.00 check made payable to the Real Estate Recovery Fund
ONLY if you have never held an active Alabama real estate license.
If you have previously held an active license, you have already paid this fee.
5.
Attach a certificate of completion for 12 hours of continuing education credit (CE-3 form)
if applicable. See Section 34-27-35 (h) (1) (2) of the License Law for exemptions from
continuing education.
Instructions for those who will become a QUALIFYING
BROKER and OPEN A COMPANY.
1. Complete Parts A and C on reverse side.
2. Attach a $25.00 check made payable to the Alabama Real Estate Commission
to transfer your broker’s license to active status.
3. Attach a $30.00 check made payable to the Real Estate Recovery Fund
ONLY if you have never held an active Alabama salesperson’s or broker’s license.
If you have previously held an active license,you have already paid this fee.
4. Attach a certificate of completion for 12 hours of continuing education credit (CE-3 form)
if applicable. See Section 34-27-35 (h) (1) (2) of the License Law for exemptions from
continuing education.
5. TO OPEN EXISTING CORPORATION, PARTNERSHIP, OR BRANCH OFFICE:
Attach a $25.00 check made payable to the Alabama Real Estate Commission
to activate the company license of an existing corporation, partnership or branch office
which has been renewed but is presently inactive.
6. TO OPEN NEW CORPORATION, PARTNERSHIP OR BRANCH OFFICE:
Obtain the company application form from the Alabama Real Estate Commission
and attach the appropriate license fees as indicated on that application.
Send it to the Commission along with this application to activate your broker’s license.
7. TO OPEN A SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP: There is no separate company license for a
sole proprietorship. If opening either a new or old sole proprietorship, this may be done
by simply completing Parts A and C or reverse side and including a $25.00 transfer fee
to activate your broker’s license. (See 1 and 2 above.)
