2GHANA VISA SCHEDULE AND FEES /
VISA APPLICATION FORM
1.
Visas will be issued to only those applicants who produce the following appropriate documents:-
(a) valid passport (b) four recent passport sized pictures (c) a letter of invitation with ID from host (d)
photocopy of yellow fever immunization (e) photocopy of travel itinerary or flight ticket (f) proof of
Canadian citizenship or resident permit if applicant is not a Canadian Citizen. Please provide the original
document.

Parents/Guardians traveling with a child are to include the child’s original birth certificate, and
where only one parent is travelling with the child, a letter of consent is required from the other parent.
A parent traveling on a foreign passport which does not require a Ghanaian visa with a child has to provide
a photocopy of the data page of the passport.

All applicants are to provide a letter of invitation with a copy of a Ghana Government issued
photo ID of the host or Residence Permit and bio-data page of the host passport if not a Ghanaian.
Applicants travelling for business/employment should provide an introductory letter from their
employers in Canada. All questions on the application form must be fully answered.
4.
Applicants must complete the application form in quadruplicate and attach FOUR PASSPORT
SIZED PHOTOGRAPHS. Visa fees are as follows:

CONSULAR FEES PAID ARE NOT REFUNDABLE

Payments are to be made only by BANKER’S DRAFT OR MONEY ORDER in the name of the
GHANA HIGH COMMISSION, and attached to the visa application. PERSONAL CHEQUES AND
CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE MISSION OR CONSULATE.
APPLICANTS SHOULD NOTE THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY MAY REQUEST FOR A
MULTIPLE ENTRIES VISA, THE CONSULAR OFFICER WILL DETERMINE WHAT TYPE
OF VISA IS ISSUED. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND.
6.
It must be emphasized that this Mission does not arrange for courier pick-ups. Applicants should
therefore make arrangements to have their passports picked up or include completed SELF-ADDRESSED
XPRESSPOST/REGISTERED ENVELOPE OR COURIER to facilitate the return of their passports.
7.
The Mission is not responsible for the return, delivery or loss of packages picked up at the
Mission by registered courier services for delivery to the applicant.
8.
It takes at least five (5) working days to process applications for visas.
