ESTEVAN McDonald’s Employee Scholarship
Program
PURPOSE: To recognize and reward an outstanding employee who has demonstrated the
ability to balance their academic, employment and personal commitments.
VALUE: $650.00/year of employment to a maximum of $2500
** Years of employment to be calculated from date of hire. To determine the value of the scholarship
an employee who has worked six months or more in the year they graduate would be credited with a full year
of service for that year.
ELIGIBILITY:
1. Be presently employed by McDonald’s Estevan for a minimum of six (6) months.
2. Achieve a rating of MEETS or EXCEEDS the standards on their last performance review.
3. Be attending, or planning to attend, any post-secondary school on a full-time or part-
time basis.
4. Complete the application form, attaching a letter of reference, an up to date
transcript of marks and a 100 word essay on future goals.
5. Demonstrate a high level of commitment and desire to make a difference on the job,
at school or in the community.
SELECTION: All applications must be submitted to ECS Student Services by the closing date. All
applications will be forwarded to Estevan McDonald’s for the selection of the
recipient.
PRESENTATION: The bursary shall be presented at the ECS Annual Awards Day in June.
** The scholarship is payable upon confirmation of acceptance into a recognized and accredited post-
secondary institution within six months from the date of the scholarship being awarded.
* In the event that no suitable candidate is found, McDonald’s reserves the right to withhold the scholarship.
