4THANKS BADGE II PIN NOMINATION APPLICATION
The Thanks Badge II honors a previous Thanks Badge award recipient who has continued to provide exemplary service in
a leadership role, resulting in a measurable impact that benefits the entire Girl Scout movement. Accumulative years of
service since receiving the Thanks Badge are considered when reviewing this award. A nomination application and two
endorsement questionnaires are required. Nominations are accepted year-round and are reviewed by the committee
twice yearly.
Award Requirements:
The candidate is an active, registered adult Girl Scout.
•
The candidate abides by GSUSA and River Valleys’ policies, standards and procedures.
•
The candidate must have previously received Thanks Badge I.
•
The outstanding service performed by the candidate resulted in outcomes that benefitted the entire Girl Scout
•
organization and are significantly above and beyond position requirements.
The candidate actively recognizes, understands and practices the values of inclusive behavior.
•
Nomination Instructions:
Coordinate the completion of the required application and endorsement questionnaire. These can be
•
submitted by the same person or by different people as long as the nominator/endorser is familiar with the
candidate’s volunteer service. Note that if the candidate is approved for an award, s/he will receive a copy of the
endorsement questionnaire.

Submit completed nomination application with completed endorsement questionnaire year-round. The

nominations will be reviewed on January 31 and June 30.
Additional photos or video of the work this volunteer is being nominated for are optional but welcomed and

encouraged.
Incomplete endorsement and/or application may result in disqualification of the nomination.
