Dear Parents, Guardians and Teachers,

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year at the Morris County School of Technology. I would

like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the MCST PTO.

MCST PTO exists to help make the experience of attending MCST a better one for the

students and their families, along with the faculty and staff. We ask that you become a member and

join the PTO. By joining, you are showing your support of MCST. Membership cost is $10.00 per

person.

In order to do what we do, the PTO needs money. Instead of having you sell wrapping paper,

nuts, or magazine subscriptions, we like to “Keep It Simple.” This “Keep it Simple” (KIS) is our

main fundraiser for the 2015-2016 school year. We ask that you donate $25.00 per child who attends

MCST to help the PTO. KIS donations can be sent in with your membership form.

Last year we presented senior scholarships, added money for all grades for their future Project

Graduation, coordinated Class of 2015 Project Graduation, and helped fund the powerful Rachel’s

Challenge presentation for students, staff, and families. We also host fun fundraising events like the

upcoming Vera Bradley Bingo coming this fall.

MCST PTO meetings are scheduled this school year on 9/15, 11/18, 1/20, 3/16, and 5/17 in

the cafeteria and are included in the school event calendar online. Along with being able to talk with

school administration and PTO officers, you will have your chance to learn first hand about what is

happening at MCST and to share your thoughts about what you would like to see happen.

We are continuing our successful MCST Spirit Wear Clothing Sale. Check

, click online stores, and place your order. The online store is open from

August 10 and closes on Tuesday, September 8. (Items will be distributed at Back to School Night

on September 24.) Along with favorites from last year, new MCST Academies and MCST share

time designs have been added. If there is something that you think we should add to the store, let us

know.

Again welcome to MCST and I urge you to please join the PTO and be involved in whatever
