INSTRUCTIONS – FORM PR(1A)
SHOW ALL GAS VOLUMES @ 15.025 p.s.i.a.
RETURN REQUIREMENTS
Form PR(1A) is required to be filed by every operator of a gas processing plant, fractionation plant or recycling plant
in the State of Louisiana. The report shows acquisitions of natural gas into the plant and dispositions of the processed
gas. A separate form must be completed for each plant.
ARRANGEMENT OF DATA
(a)
Data is to be arranged by producer; then by field for each producer. Producers are to be arranged either
alphabetically or numerically according to the producer codes assigned by the Department of Conservation.
Similarly, fields for each producer are to be arranged in either alphabetical order or in numerical order of the
field codes assigned by the Department of Conservation. Totals for each producer must be shown by Area
Code 1 or Area Code 2 and the data for a producer should be separated from the data for the preceding producer
by several blank lines. Each total should be clearly identified as “Producer Area Code 1 Total,” and/or “Producer
Area Code 2 Total.” Totals must be shown at the end of this report by “Area 1 Total” and/or “Area 2 Total” and
“Grand Total”. “Report submitted during the month of:” refers to the actual month in which the return is submitted.
(b)
Persons preparing this report will be expected to provide complete code and volume data with respect to
producers and fields. If gas processed at plant contains gas from more than one producer and/or field, it will be
necessary to obtain the names of the different producers and the volumes by producer and by field which each
producer has delivered.
1.
PRODUCER DEFINED
The producer is that person under whose name production is reported to the Department of Conservation on
Form R-5-P or R-1. Working interest owners would not be classified as producers for the purposes of this report
unless they filed and accounted for their respective working interest shares of gas production to the Department
of Conservation on Form R-5-P or Form R-1.
2.
TAXABLE PERIOD DEFINED
Refers to the month of the actual production of the gas. Volumes for more than one month shall not be lumped
together, but rather shall be reported separately by month.
3.
PARISH CODE & AREA CODE
(a) Show Parish Code as designated by Department of Conservation.
(b) Area Code 1 will be used if the gas produced and received is subject to Louisiana Gas Severance Tax.
Area Code 2 will be used if the gas is produced without the State of Louisiana and is not subject to Louisiana
Gas Severance Tax.
4.
CONSERVATION CODES
Use producer and field codes as designated and assigned by the Department of Conservation. It will be
necessary for the person preparing this report to obtain the necessary code information from the producer.
5a.
VOLUME AVAILABLE FOR PROCESS-MCF
Enter total volumes available for processing from each producer and by field. These volumes should not be
working interest owner shares, but actual measured gas volumes, unless working owners filed their respective
shares of gas production to the Department of Conservation on Form R-5-P, Form R-1, and Form R-5-D.
5b. VOLUME BY-PASSED (MCF)
Enter that portion of the total volume of gas that was received by plant but was not processed by the gas plant
facility.
6.
GAS VOLUME DISPOSITION
(a) PLANT FUEL
Gas allocated for plant fuel shall be allocated back to the various sources entering the commingled stream
to the plant in the same ratio as the gas which originally entered the stream either on a component volume
basis or a gas volumetric basis, except in those instances where gas is purchased for plant fuel.
(b) PLANT FLARE
Gas allocated for plant flare shall be allocated back to the various sources entering the commingled stream
to the plant in the same ratio as the gas which originally entered the stream. If CO
is flared, please indicate
2
by typing CO symbol next to gas volume.
2
(c) PLANT SHRINKAGE
Plant shrinkage attributable to LPG and gasoline extraction shall be on equivalent gas volume basis only.
Use the latest version of GPA STANDARD 2145 with pressure corrections to 15.025 p.s.i.a.
(d) RETURN TO LEASE FOR GAS LIFT, REPRESSURE, LEASE USE, ETC.
(e) MEASUREMENT DIFFERENCE
Any meter difference, either positive or negative, should be shown as an exclusion “X”. (Over/short gas
deliveries are not to be considered in arriving at measurement differences.)
(f)
RESIDUE GAS
Reflects volume remaining after processing. [Item No. 5 above less Item(s) 6 (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e).]
7.
PLANT INLET SCRUBBER LIQUIDS
Report all volumes in stock tank barrels. Enter plant inlet volumes of condensate and/or oil as measured or
calculated. If the volume is not allocated, report stock barrels on separate line entry. Under conservation codes,
enter plant operator code and plant code.
