OWF TIME LIMITS: SELECTION OF COUNTABLE INDIVIDUALS
ON AEITL CRIS-E SCREEN (EXAMPLES)
Example 1:
OWF assistance group contains:
Man (age 16) - married to - Woman (age 15); and
\
/
their Son (age 1)
AEITL RESULTS: The system will determine that both married parents are countable individuals in the AG as the
minor head of household and spouse of the minor head of household; therefore AEITL will display a “Y” in the “T/L”
field for both of them, and the “Audit” field will display “S” (for system determined).
Example 2:
Man (age 69) - married to - Woman (age 64); and
\
/
their Son (age 15) - married to - Woman (age 16); and
\
/
their son (age 1)
AEITL RESULTS: The system will determine that the eldest married couple are the countable individuals in the AG
as the head of household and spouse of the head of household; therefore AEITL will display a “Y” in the “T/L” field
for them, and the “Audit” field will display “S” for (system determined). While the younger parents are also married,
neither meets the statutory definition of minor head of household, so neither is a countable individual for time limits.
Example 3:
Woman (age 59)
I
Daughter (age 16)
I
Daughter’s daughter (age 3)
AEITL RESULTS: The system will determine that the woman is the countable individual in the AG because she is
the head of household; therefore AEITL will display a “Y” in the “T/L” field for her, and the “Audit” field will display
“S”. While the 16-year old daughter is also a parent, she does not meet the statutory definition of minor head of
household, and is therefore not countable for time limits.
