SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Occasional supervision and art direction of freelance and student photographers.
CONTACTS:
Co-workers in Marketing and Communications and campus clients
such as Admissions, Alumni and Parent Relations, Development/
Annual Giving, College Special Events, and Music Organizations.
Externally, freelance photographers, printing vendors, and mail
houses.
Bachelor’s degree (BFA or BA in fine arts or communications)
EDUCATION:
with an emphasis in graphic design or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2-3 years design and production experience. Prior
work experience in higher education is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Exceptional technical design skills with a talent for typography. Proven ability to identify
compelling design solutions and take them from concept to completion.
Ability to think critically and creatively as well as to work independently and take initiative, set
priorities, and exercise good judgment. Capacity to thrive in a highly collaborative work
environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks on a tight deadline and
to maintain collegiality and productivity under pressure. Must have an organized approach with a
sharp attention to detail.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and
familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of basic web design, especially using WordPress. Broad familiarity with
HTML coding and Dreamweaver desirable.

Office environment with occasional on-location photo shoots.
WORK SCHEDULE:
FTE: 1.0
Term: Full Year
Shift: Full-time, occasional evening and weekend commitments.
