Gingham Patterns Part 1 for Digital Scrapbooking
Gingham patterns are very popular in the same way with polka dots. In layman’s term, ginghams
are commonly called checkered. Not to be confused with the plaid pattern, a gingham goes with
a combination of only two colors which is usually white and another colour. Another unique
characteristic of the gingham is that it is composed of lines arranged or distributed in uniform
widths unlike a plaid which can come in different or varying spaces.
Now that we are clear about gingham, let’s make a gingham pattern in Adobe Photoshop.
Open Adobe Photoshop and make a new document with a size of 200 pixels by 200 pixels in 300
pixels/inch resolution.
Select your Gingham colours using the Foreground and Background colours. I’ve chosen the
combination of white and Salmon.
