2018 CALENDAR PHOTO CONTEST

“Nature at its Best in Your Community”

Calling all photo enthusiasts!

The Kapuskasing Public Library and the Kapuskasing & District Chamber of Commerce are organizing a

photo contest that highlights the beauty of the area in any season.

The contest is open to all residents of Kapuskasing & District, with the exception of the Kapuskasing Public

Library Board Members and personnel and the Kapuskasing & District Chamber of Commerce (KDCC)

members and personnel.

RULES

Photographs must have been taken in the Kapuskasing & District area (Opasatika to Smooth Rock Falls)

and must not have been previously published in a magazine, newspaper, etc.

Photos must feature one of the following themes:

Wildlife

Nature

Landscapes

Digital photographs must be presented in landscape mode, in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of

1200 x 1600 pixels. All photographs must be submitted on a USB key or on a CD. Photos sent by email

will not be accepted.

PHOTO SELECTION AND PRIZES

Twelve photos (three of each season) will be selected. The twelve finalists will receive a prize sponsored

by the KDCC members.

The winning photographs will be on exhibit at the Kapuskasing Public Library and at the Kapuskasing &

District Chamber of Commerce and will be part of a 2018 Community Calendar.

REGISTRATION AND DEADLINE

Every participant can submit a maximum of three photos.

Photographs and registration forms must be submitted in person at the Kapuskasing Public Library or at

the Kapuskasing & District Chamber of Commerce no later than September 25, 2017, at 4 p.m. Photos

sent by email will not be accepted.

N.B. Please take note that any photograph submitted to this contest will not be returned.
