climb and is in good condition.
10. Floors are dry and floor coverings are securely
fastened.
11. Materials harmful to children such as matches,
power tools, detergents, solvents, cleaning
supplies, and equipment are locked and
inaccessible to children.
12. Adult scissors, knives, and other sharp objects
are out of children's reach.
13. Toys and equipment have no broken pieces or
splinters and are working properly.
14. Small objects that could be put in the mouth,
ears, or nose are not accessible to children.
15. There is adequate open and age appropriate
space for children to play in each activity area.
16. Staff can easily move about and supervise
children crawling or walking.
17. Interior doors and cabinets in areas used by
children are operable from either side and kept
locked.
18. Doors with vision panels are clear without
obstructions.
