Letter to Family

Dear Family,

I would like you and your child to find a group of small objects of the same

kind from your home. I would like there to be between 20 and 50 objects in

the group. The objects should be something you do not need to have back

and can be anything from rubber bands to paper clips to bottle caps. I would like

you to put the objects in a bag or an envelope for your child to bring to school.

In class I will pair your child with another child. They will count the objects

that each one of them has and then find the difference in the number of

objects in each group.
