Letter to Family

Dear Family,

I would like you to do something with your child that involves measuring, using

a cup. One of the best and easiest things to do is to cook something that requires

you to add cups of flour or water. Another way to do this is to measure cups of

food for your dog or cat. Have your child keep track of the number of cups used.

Then have your child draw a picture of what you made and show a record of the

number of cups used.

In class I will have the children share their stories of what they made and how

many cups they used.

Your child needs to bring this to school by
