Registered Nurse (ER) Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one with patients.

• Triage incoming patients.

• Take vitals and chart the information.

• Provide direct patient care.

• Assist doctors during emergency procedures.

• Start IVs, administer medications and/or injections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

• Experience working in an ER or emergency environment.

• Experience with IV therapy.

• Ability to follow instruction.

• Ability to maintain calm in a fast-paced, chaotic atmosphere.

• Ability to stand on one’s feet for up to twelve hours at a time.

• Knowledge of general hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
