Wow, I can hardly believe how quickly this school year has come and gone!
However, as quick as it might have seemed, we actually spent a great deal of time
reading together in the classroom, and I am so proud of how your child has grown
as a reader.
No one can argue the fact that the best way to become a better reader is to
spend more time reading. With this in mind, I want to encourage your child to
continue the habit of reading every day throughout the summer just as we do now
every day in school. As you can see from the data below, the importance of
reading a minimum of 20 minutes every day is extremely important to your child’s
reading success in the upcoming school year.
