1TEMPLATE: Letter of Waiver for Exporters
The following text must be typed on your company’s letterhead. Please forward to the Saanich Peninsula
Chamber of Commerce following commissioning by a Notary Public or Commissioner for Oaths. (It is important
that the Notary Public/Commissioner for Oaths put her/his official stamp or seal to this document).

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
In consideration of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”) from time to time granting
Certificates of Origin or otherwise certifying documents upon request by __________________ (the “Company”),
the Company hereby accepts all responsibility for the veracity, accuracy and completeness of such documents as
are submitted by the Company, and/or its representatives, to the Chamber for certification.
The Company also affirms that the documents do not pertain to the export of controlled goods or, if they do
pertain to the export of controlled goods, the Company has obtained any necessary authorization.
The Company agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Chamber and its officials from and against all
demands, claims, actions or causes of action, proceedings, assessments, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and
expenses of every nature and kind (including without limitation, interest, penalties and reasonable legal fees on a
solicitor and his own client basis) imposed upon or incurred by the Chamber, directly or indirectly, by reason of,
resulting from or relating to such certification.
If the Chamber is presented with a demand for production of documents which is authorized by law, the Company
authorizes the Chamber to produce documents received from the Company in accordance with the demand. The
Company also agrees to make readily available to the Chamber any background documents (to be kept by the
Company for up to two years after the certification), for review by relevant authorities if requested.
The following freight forwarders (if applicable) have authority to present and sign documents on our behalf. If
additions or deletions are made to the list below, the Chamber will be notified in writing.
