RHA General Body,

I would like to be the Vice President of Internal Development for RHA for the upcoming year.

My experience this year as the Vice President of Administration provided me with knowledge of

how RHA functions and prepared me for a more active role with the RHA membership. I

observed the creation and evolution of this position and I want to advance Internal

Development to the next level.

As VP of Internal Development I want to take advantage of the leadership development

opportunities already existing on campus. I feel that so many of these resources remain

untapped. Inviting a guest speaker to General Body meetings once a month from various

departments on campus would offer the members of RHA a wide variety of personal

development experiences. I hope to collaborate with the Mistletoe Residential College, Career

Center, Office of Student Activities and Leadership, campus honoraries, and other leaders on

campus to provide new leadership growth for our members.

The VP of Internal Development is the primary liaison to the community councils and I would

like to further explore that responsibility. I think attending one meeting for each council per

month will foster more open communication between RHA members and the executive board.

It would also allow me to observe the group dynamics and develop leadership goals with the

council members and advisor. Recognition is the second focus of the position. I would like to

introduce a biweekly award for outstanding GB members and increase whole-RHA recognition

efforts.

I believe that RHA experiences develop students into leaders. I want to provide the members

of RHA with opportunities for growth and leadership experiences that will guide them to

success at Case and in the future. Thank you for considering me for Vice President of Internal
