Please read over this information and share it with your team members who submit applications for brand and label registration. This is for
informational purposes only, not legally binding and subject to current regulations. In an effort to reduce the turn around time on your brand and label
registration it is necessary to be aware of the following:
Instructions are provided on the new ATT-104 form. Access
under forms: Alcohol and Tobacco and ensure that you are using
the updated form. Be sure to fill out the form completely. Failure to do so will delay processing of your registration.
Make sure that territories are listed in alphabetical order and do not overlap with another territory. Your chosen distributor should provide a
breakdown of locations and territories covered. You may list “Entire State” if your distributor only has a single location.
Be sure that you have checked the correct reason for submitting the application. Failure to check any option or checking the wrong option may cause
delays in your application.
To register brands with original license application. This option is only for the initial license application. If you already have a
license you should not check this option. When checking this option paperwork should be submitted with the original license application.
When registering Distilled Spirits brands and labels a $10 processing fee is required for each item. There is no processing fee to register Wine
or Malt Beverage . Any check submitted for Wine and Malt Beverage will be voided and destroyed.
GA Power of Attorney form RD-1061: Access at
This form is required for any person that was not registered with the initial
license application or during the renewal process. Failure to complete this form correctly will also cause delays in your application. The form can not
be executed by the same person that is being granted POA.
A Letter(s) of Authority/Ownership is required from all persons involved in the production, bottling, brewing, and/or venting of the brand being
registered. Refer to the Certificate of Label Approval (COLA), if the name on the COLA is not the Importer (or the company registering the brand) a
Letter of Authority is required. Refer to your labels and whoever is listed as producer, bottler, brewer, or venter will have to provide a letter of
authority to the Importer of the brands. The letter should clearly identify the name listed on the label, and give authority to register the brand. If
claiming a DBA or Trade Name a Basic Permit must be included to validate the authorized DBA or Trade Name.
