Caillou’s Not Too Fishy Father’s Day Activity
Caillou loves going fishing with his Dad and Grandpa in his new book Caillou
Gone Fishing! Now your preschooler can join the fun with this
adorable fishing rod craft, just in time for Father’s Day!
What You’ll Need:
• Construction paper
• Piece of Cardboard
• Glue and/or Tape
• Yarn or piece of string
• Crayons, Markers, stickers, etc. to decorate Fish & rod
Directions:
Step 1:
Print out activity and help your child cut out each of the
shapes.
Step
2:
Trace the fishing rod shape on the piece of cardboard as well as construction
paper and cut them out.
Step 3:
Trace fish & circle template onto construction paper. We fish twice – one for
decorating and one for message.
Step 4:
Glue (or tape) the construction paper rod onto the cardboard. You should also
glue circle piece of construction paper midway through rod to represent the fishing reel.
Step
5:
Help your little one write a message on fish and decorate fish & rod using
crayons, markers & stickers. Don’t forget to draw an eye and mouth for the fish!
Step
6:
Once dry, tape one side of piece of yarn to the back of the fish and the other
side to the back end of the fishing pole.
Step
7:
Your Fishing Rod is now complete! Put away to keep it safe for Father’s Day!
