EVALUATING QUALITY OF BID CHECKLIST
Site Drawings Should Indicate:
Overall dimensions and north arrow
Adjoining streets and property lines
Benchmarks and reference points
Locations of existing and proposed work
Existing and proposed contours
Final grade elevations at all building corners and along building perimeters
Walks, drives, or other surface features including slopes and cross slopes of accessible routes
Locations and critical elevations of utilities, wells, disposal fields
Parking facilities and storm drainage system
Sanitary sewer, water supply and distribution, fire underground system; locations of fire hydrants
(existing and new)
Coordination of utilities with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans
Flow lines and invert information on manholes
Soil investigation data
Architectural Drawings Should Indicate:
Floor Plan
Appropriate scale (1 /8 inch per foot or greater)
"Key plan" to designate the project portion to which each sheet applies
Dimensions, room titles, orientation north arrow, floor elevations
Coordination with structural, mechanical, and electrical plans
Supplementary drawings for congested areas, toilet rooms, equipment rooms, etc.
Roof Plan
Same scale as floor plan
Materials and system used
Locations of valleys, ridges, cants, saddles, crickets, gutters, down spouts
Projections through roof such as skylights, chimneys, exhaust ducts or vents, penthouses
Changes in roof elevation, direction, and amount of slopes
