IMPORTANT: Applicants applying for OCI must be able to prove Indian origin/descent as per documents listed
below. In case of applying on the basis of parents or grandparents, at least one document must be provided t o prove
linkage and one Indian document to prove the origin of the concerned family member
LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR OCI REGISTRATION
(FIRST TIME APPLICATION)
Online OCI Registration Application form fully filled, Part B completed, photo, signature and all

supporting documents uploaded online
Four photographs conforming to Indian Government norms as per specifications mentioned on our

website
A Photo service complying to the Indian norms are available in our offices

Original and copy of the foreign passport
Note that your passport must be valid for a minimum of 180 days in order to submit your application
Original Uittreksel issued by respective Gemeente in Netherlands for residence proof and for showing

the date of obtaining foreign nationality
Document proving Indian origin of the applicant, parent, grandparent of spouse (at least one of the

below documents must be provided
Copy of Indian passport
Copy of the domicile certificate issued by the competent authority
Copy of school or college leaving certificates
Copy of Indian birth certificate
IMPORTANT: All certificates in the absence of old Indian passport copy require to be Apostilled or attested as
the case may be by CPV Division, MEA, Patiala House, New Delhi

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS AS PER YOUR CASE
If the applicant was Indian by birth (one of the following documents to be provided)
Original Surrender Certificate and one photocopy (original will be returned after verification)
Original Renunciation Certificate and one photocopy (original will be returned after verification)
Original Deemed Surrender Certificate and one photocopy (original will be returned after verification)
If you did not provide the Uittreksel mentioning the date of obtaining foreign nationality you must provide the
naturalization certificate
If the applicant is applying on the basis of parents or grandparents
Birth certificate and Family Uittreksel issued by respective Gemeente in Netherlands establishing parentage of
the child with regard to establishing ex-Indian nationality of their parent/s
If the applicant is applying on the basis of spouse
Copy of marriage certificate - Please note that the marriage must have been registered and subsisted for a
continuous period of not less than two years
Copy of spouse passport
Copy of spouse OCI
Copy of spouse Residence Permit
If the applicant is minor
No objection letter signed by both parents
Passport copy of both parents
OCI Card copy of both parents (if applicable)
Residence card copy of both parents (if applicable)
