Birthday Party Planning Checklist
1 – 2 weeks before:

If necessary, start gathering tables, chairs, toys, coolers, serving
Choose a theme with your child

Confirm help if using extra help
2-3 weeks before:
Decorate home or gather decorations for party venue
Prepare make-ahead food
Prepare your invitations
Assemble party favours
Decide on party favours and bags
Bake cake if necessary
Purchase any party prizes (purchase enough for a few extras just
in case)
Arrange for extra help, if necessary
If ordering a cake, place your order
The D-day:
Mail invitations
Child – proof the party area, if at home
Pick up pre-ordered cake
Arrive early at the venue in order to welcome all the guests and check if
your requests and decoration are respected
