Multiplication tables 2 to 12
This document contains an A4 multiplication table sheet showing tables 2 to 12. This sheet can be enlarged to a
size that is useful for display in the classroom or can be printed for each child’s work book. This sheet can be used
as reference for younger children when completing the worksheets that follow.
Worksheets 1
Included are 6 worksheets. Each has 6 questions that cover the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 times table. The questions
require children to count the sheep in the left hand column and to use their multiplication skills to complete the
sum and enter an answer into the box on the right. Answers should then be marked out of 6 to show a total
mark.
Worksheet 2 - Design a worksheet
The second worksheet allows children to design and create their own worksheet and a set of questions to swap
with a friend. Children should use the same format as the previous worksheets; sheep illustrations on the left
(in the box provided), a number on the right and an empty space for another member of the class to record an
answer. On a separate sheet, or in a notebook, the worksheet designer should keep a note of the correct
answers to the questions on the sheet they have designed so that they can mark their friend’s answers out of 5
when they have completed the sums.
Worksheet 3 - Word questions
This worksheet is useful for older or more able children. This worksheet provides 5 word multiplication problems
using the context of sheep, wool and farming. Once the first 5 questions have been answered, children can create
their own questions using the sums provided, continuing with a similar theme.
