Purpose of the position

A Controls Programmer will work on all controls aspects of projects while taking safety, regulatory

codes and environmental precautions into consideration.

Responsibilities & duties

• Core PLC, HMI, vision, servo and robotics programming

• Designing/Developing new programs and modifying existing systems to meet design requirements

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing the functionality of controls systems and the associated

automation

• Working with the build team through the build and testing phases

• Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills in areas of control software and

programming, control hardware issues, process control, including discrete and integrated motion

control

• Supporting and managing outside vendors and suppliers

• Work within project cost and time constraints

• Working collaboratively with engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff; liaising with clients,

suppliers and contractors

• Understanding and ensuring the compliance of the health and safety regulations and quality

standards of the country in which the work is undertaken

• Provide advice and consultancy support to internal staff and clients

• Demonstrate ability to implement new technology that meets Absolute Industrial Automation’s

business and regulatory requirements
