Position Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented developer to join our Health BI technology team. The ideal

candidate will have extensive skills in leveraging full stack development for the web and specifically

utilizing Java and various Java frameworks in production environments. This role is responsible for

writing code, tests, and developing everything from user interfaces to middle ware, to web services to

back end data and service layers. The developer is also responsible for the review of existing code and

designs, and for working closely with a diverse software development team to deliver in an agile

environment.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements or technical specifications into technical tasks to be completed.

• Develop appropriate unit testing and quality measurements around the code you produce

• Effectively communicate questions, blockers or concerns to all stakeholders so they can be

addressed

• Address performance and scaling issues involving web applications in a Spring Boot environment

• Accurately estimate the level of effort required to complete specific tasks

• Reliably deliver quality code on an agreed schedule that meets our quality metrics

• Create functional UI code and custom components utilizing the Vaadin framework

Skills:

• B.S. In Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar

• Proficient in Java and the associated toolchain for development of enterprise applications

• Experience with Vaadin and / or GWT, Vaadin Charts, Vaadin Test Bench and Vaadin Event Bus

• Experience with Desktop or Mobile UI Development including but not limited to Swing, JavaFX,

SWT, QT, Android or iOS

• Experience with modern Spring modules and Spring Boot

• Experience with web services
