The Outsiders Casting Call Project

While reading The Outsiders you should be making special note of character descriptions. You will be using physical and

personality descriptions to complete this Casting Call Project.

You will take on the role of Director of a motion picture version of The Outsiders. Your first task will be to cast the leading

roles to some of Hollywood’s finest. Remember, you do not simply want to choose people that are popular. You must spend

time considering which actor/actress best fits each particular role. The better the fit, the more money you make.

For each character listed below you will need to cut out a picture of the celebrity you have cast in that role (full length or

head shot). Then you will write an explanation of what the character is like (physically and personality-wise) and why the

celebrity chosen suits that particular role.

Tom Felton as Dally Winston

Dallas Winston has almost white blonde hair, blues eyes and an elfish face. He is tough, mean, wild

and cold. Tom Felton is a good match for this role because he fits the physical description and has

played parts like Dally before as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter Series.
