removed and replaced. Roof deck attachments and fasteners must be strengthened

a secondary water barrier must be installed regardless of house value.

removed and replaced and is located in the wind borne debris region with a valuation of $300,000
or more: Roof deck attachments and fasteners must be strengthened

water barrier must be installed.
Roof to wall connections must be enhanced by up to 15% of
the re-roof cost. Exceptions: (1) when demonstrated that roof to wall connections were installed at time
of original construction or (2) when documented that the cost will exceed 15% of the re-roof
replacement value

the requirements of Florida Statute 553.844 which pertains to Hurricane Damage Mitigation for re-
roofs and will comply with these requirements by requesting the 000 Informational* while under
construction and the 123 inspection for the final. I certify that the above referenced project will
comply with these requirements. I understand that if the home requires installation of hurricane clips
or gable end bracing, I must subcontract this work to a residential, building or general contractor for
that portion of the work not to exceed 50% of the total contract amount.
*The “In Progress” inspection must be scheduled prior to 7:00a.m. on the day the inspection is needed.
Please use request code #000 with you permit number. The inspector will arrive and inspect your work at
any stage. You are not required to wait for the inspector or leave any area exposed to the weather.
